Eyüpsultan City Museum
Project description
A project that begins with place.
A museum proposal in which approach, landscape and controlled darkness become part of the exhibition narrative.
Building the architecture from context.
The visitor is drawn through a compressed landscape sequence before reaching the museum. Curved retaining walls, framed views and changes in light build a gradual transition from city to exhibition.
A restrained palette, a strong atmosphere.
Dark masonry, planted edges and focused lighting give the approach a tactile, almost archaeological quality while preserving a clear contemporary identity.
