Hopa Town Center in the Context of a Coastal Settlement
Project description
A project that begins with place.
A coastal urban strategy that reconnects Hopa’s town center with the Black Sea through public landscape, movement and new waterfront thresholds.
Building the architecture from context.
The project treats the shoreline as civic infrastructure rather than a residual edge. Routes, terraces and gathering points establish multiple ways of approaching and inhabiting the water.
A restrained palette, a strong atmosphere.
Durable coastal materials are combined with resilient planting and simple public elements. The aim is to create a robust framework that can accommodate seasonal and everyday change.
