Kadıköy Art Center
Project description
A project that begins with place.
A public arts building imagined as a transparent urban room where performance, landscape and everyday city life overlap.
Building the architecture from context.
Rather than isolating cultural production behind opaque walls, the project makes rehearsal, performance and gathering visible. Terraces and planted edges extend the institution into the surrounding public realm.
A restrained palette, a strong atmosphere.
Glass, mineral surfaces and planted terraces create a layered envelope that changes from day to night. The building becomes both stage and audience, depending on where it is viewed from.
